Langdale Christmas Pudding 10k hosted by Brathay
A 10K course through the beautiful Great Langdale valley. The Langdale Christmas Pudding run has become a popular event to start the festive season. With over 1000 entered at it’s peak, the race appeals to all who enjoy the fun side of running. Every finisher gets a Christmas Pudding and many runners dress in festive costumes – all adding to the party atmosphere.
The course follows an undulating route through the stunning scenery of the Great Langdale valley. The start line is at the New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel, followed by 5km of running to Elterwater village. The course then loops through the Langdale Hotel estate, before returning to the New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel.

North Eastern XC Championships @ Sedgefield
Thank you to Sedgefield Harriers, with the support of Start Fitness, , Durham County Council, Hardwick Hall Hotel and Sedgefield Cricket Club for organising the 115th annual North East XC champs.
On a cold but mostly dry day in County Durham the colours of Elswick Harriers were again out in force. No packs or handicaps for this event, all runners battled and left the start line together with the ladies running 1 medium and 2 big laps totalling 8k with the men running 4 big laps equalling 12k. An absolute brilliant course that posed a few inclines, mole hills and muddy sections but nothing major which meant this was a fast course which resulted in some great runs.
