Couch to 5K Newcastle – None to Run

New Programme Starts on Tuesday 22nd September 2026 – sign up below

It doesn’t matter how far, how long, or how fast you run – we don’t care and neither should you.

Our beginners running programme will take you from nothing to being able to run for 30 minutes non-stop.

After you’ve completed our 12 week plan you’ll be able to do your local parkrun with ease.

Better still, you’ll feel fitter, stronger, and more positive. Because what you will have done will be an achievement to celebrate.

By now you’ll be asking, “so what’s the plan?”.

For many beginners, running plans are quite hard and we want to help you reach the end successfully.

So, we’ve adopted the None to RunTM approach. This is a few weeks longer and has a gentler progression, meaning more people complete the plan successfully.

None to RunTM, also known as N2R, was founded by Mark Kennedy, from Toronto, a certified USA Track & Field coach.

There are two supported runs each week, and only one “homework” run. On your supported runs, you’ll be accompanied by experienced runners which will be overseen by one of our fully qualified coaches.

It also has a strength and mobility element, which will really help you build your fitness.

Just like Couch to 5K there is an app to help, although you won’t need this if you don’t want to.

To get signed up for our next N2R just enter your details:

Is this the same as Couch to 5K?

Couch to 5K is a 9 week programme and has a number of jumps that some people find hard to get past, then give up. When we were looking at how to help beginners get started we did consider Couch to 5K, but realised that we’d like to help those who couldn’t get past the hump. Hence our choice of None to Run instead.

How do I get in touch with you?

That’s an easy one. Simply go to our contact page and send a message. The person best placed to help will get back to you.

So if you’ve been considering doing Couch to 5K in Newcastle we’d love you to join us 🙂
