Rules:
* [ ] Scoring system – points are awarded according to your finishing time and position within your age category. The age categories are Senior (18 – 39), V40, V50, V60, V70. First to finish in each category is awarded 15 points, second place 14 points etc. to 1 point for all finishers from 15th position onwards.
* [ ] Athletes must be age 18 and over before the first race.
* [ ] You must wear your Elswick vest (apart from the internal 10 mile race in June). Failure to wear your vest will result in you not scoring for that race.
* [ ] If you run in a championship race you will be automatically included in the results.
* [ ] You must enter races as an Elswick Harrier and not as un-attached or as a representative of another club. Only the results of Elswick registered runners will count.
* [ ] Should you disagree with a score allocated to you, you must raise your complaint within one month of the date of the race. This should be done in writing to Richard Houghton and/or Andrea Banner.
* [ ] If you cannot attend the race you have entered, please do not hand your number to another runner, which would adversely affect the championship scoring (and be a breach of the race rules). Liaise with the race organisers to see what options are available, which might include a legitimate transfer of your race number.
* [ ] If you run fewer than five races, you will still be scored and appear on the league table. Credit will be given to those performances.
* [ ] Enter races as soon as you can. Some race dates have yet to be confirmed. If they do not proceed, we will use an alternative race (possibly an internal organised club race) and inform members in good time.
* [ ] In the event of a tie, a count back method will apply. In the event of minimum participation, per age group: then the awards will be pro rata.
* [ ] Entering as an un-attached runner will mean any result will not be recognised by the club, for the purpose of both club championship formats.
Any questions, please ask in the Facebook Members Group.
Good luck!!
