Saturday 10th July

Warmseal Woodhorn Museum Triathlon

Taken from the website v02maxracingevents.co.uk: “The swim will be in the warm shallow freshwater QE2 lake set within the park grounds. The bike route will take you out of the Museum grounds along to the coastal route through Widdrington Village, before sweeping onto the coast and along to the beautiful Cresswell village with some breath-taking views along the coastline”.

“The run will be on the footpath that winds its way through the woodland and open grasslands that surround the lake. The run passes by the finish line within the Museum at the end of each lap making this ideal for spectators to cheer everyone on to a great finish with a big smile”.

Standard Triathlon with a field size of 217

Thoughts are with Robert Lambert who works tirelessly throughout the year!  Rob started this event but during the cycle he hit a discarded water bottle and crashed out after achieving 4 pr’s on the route. Rob has horribly but luckily enough walked away with a broken right hand and left shoulder and feels his season is over maybe until the XC season. From all at Elswick Harriers we wish you a full and speedy recovery, we are right behind you Rob!
