Sad news that Eric has died at the age of 91.he was a long standing member who will be remembered for his sterling work in producing the Elswick Harriers newsletter for many years starting in 1979 with 3 or 4 typed pages and culminating in a magazine that kept members abreast of all the latest club news.
His excellent work was rewarded by gaining 2nd place in Running Magazines -best club letter competition. Eric was also a qualified course measurer and a vital help in helping set up the course prior to all the clubs road race events. He was a keen competitor and competed at the World Vets Championships in France and Israel. He never craved the limelight and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
