With weather warnings in place our runners braced themselves for difficult race conditions over the weekend. Luckily the bad weather held off and allowed for some good times to be ran.
Run Through Newcastle 10km
An early start down the Newcastle Quayside on the Saturday for the inaugural Newcastle 10km. It looked to be a well organised event with road closures in place allowing for some quick times to be ran.
The morning was split into two races, an A and B race. The A race featured 4 of our runners and B race two of our runners.
Steve Dobson had an impressive road debut, breaking 39 mins. He was chasing Sean, Sophie and Danny all running 35 mins – Sean napping an impressive PB.
In the B race, John and Imogen also ran impressive races running 40 mins and 51 mins respectively.

Brass Monkey Half Marathon
We had 8 runners making the trip to York Racecourse, advertised as a fast half marathon the route starts and finishes at the racecourse circling back on yourself.
Jude Nutt was back in fine form running 1.27 and coming home 1st Elswick home and 3rd in her category. All 8 of our runners had excellent runs which made the drive to York worthwhile!

Cross Challenge London
Amy Fuller travelled to London to represent the Midlands for this 5 lap XC race around Parliament Hill.
Well done to all our runners this weekend 👏
