Angel View Run
Low Fell Running Club hosted their annual Angel View Run – roughly 10km on mixed terrain, it offers a good workout to runners and something different to a normal road race.
We had 7 runners taking part this year and it was Joe Green who led the Elswick charge with the rest featuring high in their age groups.
There was only 2 seconds separating John Rippon and Jude Nutt, John picking up a prize for 2nd old gadgie and Jude 2nd female overall and 1st in her category.
Andy Green finished just ahead of John finishing 1st v55 with David Walton behind Jude finishing 1st v65.
Nigel Hollier once again claimed first v70 and Lynne Michelson finished 4th in her age category.
Information Notice:
Track and Field Training – Saturday’s at Wentworth

With only one race to report on this week it’s a good opportunity to shout about the track and field sessions on Saturday morning at Wentworth Leisure Centre.
With various events to try, all supported by our wonderful coaches, it’s a perfect introduction to track and field and boost that speed for the road events.
Everyone is welcome so please don’t be shy give it a try… If you want more information, feel free to ask any of the coaches.

Sunday Long Run

A reminder we have two groups running from the leisure centre on a Sunday heading out for long social runs. Everyone is welcome to these, even nonmembers, so if you have family or friends that wants company on a long run bring them down. Again, speak to your coaches for more information.

Advance Call Out – Elswick Harriers River Run
We’re hosting our annual River Run on the 18th June and will need helpers on the course to make sure the runners have a fun and safe race.
If you want to run, feel free to enter, but could I ask if you do run, could you help on car parking duties?
Keep an eye on facebook for a request for volunteers or speak to Ben.
Please advertise to your family, friends, or anyone else you think might be interested.
