After storm Darragh caused the postponement of the last cross country at the new venue at Eltringham Farm, the next storm has to start with an “E” so what better than storm “Elswick”. This race is separate to the North East Harrier League and clubs from the North East who are not in our Harrier League also took part, with the top finishers having a good chance to be selected for the National Inter Counties Championships to be held next year at Woollaton Park, Nottingham on Saturday 8th March. This does not include under 11s as this is classed as non competitive !!

The girls contributed to Elswick winning the J C Kennedy Trophy for the best overall female team. This was on account of us having complete teams in each age category, namely under 13s, under 15s, under 17/20s and senior women and by finishing in strong positions – first, eighth, third and sixth respectively. Congratulations to our junior and senior women. We await receipt of the trophy from last year’s winners NSP.
