Silksworth Sports Complex, Sunderland on Sunday 20th September 2026
These championship are held against all the top clubs in the North. Elswick Juniors had teams entered across all the new age groups, with six teams of three. Quite an achievement.
Not many clubs can do this, so it shows the range and depth of talent we have with our juniors. The weather was a mixture of sunshine and clouds, but always a consistent, strong wind. The course started and finished on a nice and flat tartan track, however there were some very challenging hills.
With a mixture of the wind and sun it was a hard course for the athletes.
Once again there was great support from coaches, parents, grandparents and other family members, and our seniors who were running later in the day.
It’s always important to support these events as a lot of time and effort is spent by North East officials to get these events so far North.
