Sunday 21st April
Well after Months of cross country (weather permitting) attention turned to track and field. Saturdays extra training was put to good use with 24 Elswick juniors pulling on the famous Elswick vest.
There were quite a few making their debuts on track and field with many outside their comfort zone.
They all performed brilliantly with a few personal bests.
In what was a lovely setting, it was a stadium of two halves really chilly in the main stand but quite pleasant on the far side.
We may not have finished top of the league on the day in terms of points but we certainly did in terms of friendship, sportsmanship, and attitude this included our many supporters.
It was also good to see some of them stepping up to officiate.
Provisional Results as follows. Please note all these clubs have ready access to track and field facilities for training and are amongst the top clubs in North East.

The next meeting is at Whitley Bay on Sunday the 19th May.
Fantastic as we have done, if we have more athletes to fill more events then we will soon start climbing up the league.
So if you missed out this time please add your name to Andrea’s next post to join in the fun. If you do decide to compete can you do this sooner than later as it quite manic for Andrea on the day sorting numbers, events, relays etc.
On the subject of Andrea, our own superwoman, first to arrive last to leave and all the jobs in between, so please take a moment to thank her.
