I’m delighted to report that the Elswick men won the team prize at the well organised Run Nation Matfen 10k on Sunday 20th September.
Lewis Liddle wore the Elswick Vest for the first time as he ran his first 10k at the socially distanced event at Matfen. The Run Nation team pulled of an absolute fantastic event with around 27 different waves of 6 going off every 5 minutes.
Elswick men also bought home the team prize on the day which consisted of Lewis Liddle in 6th 35.55, Scott Brady 7th 36.27 and Richard Houghton 14th 38.26.
Paul Taylor 38th 42.15 and Jeff Emerson 163rd 1.04.52 also completed the undulating course on a day in near perfect conditions for racing, 13 degrees, overcast, slight mizzle and no wind. Going Back to Lewis he looked the part and is most certainly one to watch in the future.
Well done everyone who ran and its great to see events getting back on their feet slowly.
