And so it begins, the first XC of the season which was hosted by Sunderland Harriers.
This was the 39th time this has been run on an undulating course, not for the faint hearted, and often has a stream to jump.
With only a handful of Elswick Juniors running this damp morning. The day started with the under 11s who only run 1000 metres which is almost a sprint for them. All other ages run the same distance of 1.8 mile.

4th Millie Robson 4.11( 3rd place was given the same time) 9th Ayla Blight 4.24 (After having her spikes came off during the race)

Under 15 Girls
22nd Hannah Waterhouse 14.27 – 24th Ciara Telford 15.39 – 25th Sydney Bungay 15.39
Under 17 Boys
1st Elliot Kelso 9.12
