It was a super Sunday for our Elswick members, running excellently in three different races.
Run Northumberland Matfen 10km
Three athletes took on the undulating 10km course. Luke was first home, finishing 3rd overall, Rachel followed with Jeff coming home soon after. All finishing 2nd in their category.

Great Cumbrian Run
After her fabulous run in Redcar last week Susanne was back in action in the established half marathon over in Cumbria running an amazing time of 1.38, finishing 10th female overall. It’s 27 years since Susanne made her Elswick Harriers debut on the course – a course that has good memories.
Making her half marathon debut, Imogen ran an incredible time 1.27, finishing 1st female on the day.

Run Through Jarrow 10km
A new race in the running calendar, the course started and finished in Monkton Stadium. We had 11 runners in total with Sophie taking the bragging rights for being first Elswick and first female overall, finishing in an excellent time of 35 mins.
I’m sure the course yielded several new PBs – well done to everyone that ran!
