British Masters Athletics Federation:
Justin Durham was in track action over the weekend securing a silver medal in the 3000m steeplechase.
Justin ran a new pb (11:17) and negotiated a moving barrier running an additional 60m in process of doing so; officials hadn’t got the final straight barrier on the track in time. He still however landed his first medal in BMAF after narrowly missing out in June at the British Mile Champs. Silver this time for him in the M45 3000m steeplechase and 8th in all age categories. He finished the season in the UK’s overall rankings in 9th place. A very good first season back to chasing after 20+years away!

Prudhoe Miners:
A brilliant local 5 miler hosted by Prudhoe Plodders – the routes takes you through and around Prudhoe and has what you could call a sting in the tail as you climb back up the bank to the finish…
We had 4 runners taking part and it was Sean Mennim who was first home, finishing in 5th place overall closely followed by Jack, Gillian and Jayne. Well done all!

Farringdon Relays:
Normally a popular event for our members but unfortunately we were unable to field any adult teams – something we hope to do next year.
Are juniors were out in force flying the Elswick flag – results are still to be published.
Congratulations:
Away from running, one of our members, Adam Bell was married at Northside Farm on Saturday – we wish Adam and Marie a long happy marriage.
