5000m Friday @ Gateshead Stadium, hosted by Wild Deer Events
Wild Deer Events ventured onto the track and what better venue than Gateshead International Stadium on a Friday night!!
An evening of 5000 metre races, graded and paced for the first 1600m to help achieve those PB goals. Races were graded from sub 16 minutes to sub 30 minutes.

Track and Field North East 1 League, 1st fixture @ Churchill Playing Field, Whitley Bay
Andrea has written a report for this event which will be posted separately. Here is an overview on the Elswick members that took part in a joint team with Blaydon Harriers that currently sit in 6th position from 8 teams.
Eric Lewis ran the 400m in a time of 73.4 finishing 6th in category A
Simon Allen ran in the 3000m Steeplechase in a time of 13.11 finishing 4th in category A
Steve Horn ran in the 1500m in a time of 4.27 finishing 3rd in category A
Steve Horn ran in the 5000m in a time of 17.13 finishing 3rd in category A
Justin Durham ran in the 5000m in a time of 17.47 finishing 3rd in category B
Eric Lewis jumped 3.70m in the long jump finishing 6th in category A
Justin Durham recorded fails in the high jump finishing 5th in category A
Justin was late for the high jump and wasn’t able to have any practice jumps or jumps at the lower heights.

Imogen King ran in the 3000m in a time of 13.34.6 finishing 4th in category B
Bell and Lucy competed in the 4×400 with the team finishing 2nd
Sky Lewis jumped a height of 1.25m in the high jump finishing 3rd in category A
Lucy Milburn jumped a distance of 8.70m in the triple jump finishing 2nd in category A
Sky Lewis threw the shot put 6.59m finishing 1st in category B
Sky Lewis threw the hammer 16.03m finishing 4th in category A
Bella Russell threw the javelin 17.33m finishing 3rd in category A

Mash Direct Belfast City Marathon
Now in its 40th Year the Mash Direct Belfast City Marathon is one of the leading marathons in the UK and Ireland and is an AIMS certified race. After a wet start to the day with runners starting at Storemont, the weather picked up for the majority of racers coming in towards the finish line at Ormeau Park.

Cardiff 5k Race for Victory
Widely regarded as one of the best 5K Races in the United Kingdom it has an atmosphere second to none, so get ready for the race of your life!
Its unique, once a year closed road route, is a fast and flat course that’s perfect for a personal best; along with what Whitchurch Village always supplies for a fantastic atmosphere!! The 2022 race incorporated the Welsh 5km Road Running Championships and an Inter Area Match with Amy Fuller making her debut for Northern Athletics.
