Prudhoe Riverside Parkrun

As previously mentioned, we highlight Parkruns in race round ups when something special has occured. This weekend Jaynce Cuskern celebrated running her 50^th Parkrun around the Spetchells with the support from her teammates with most sporting our vests. Well, done Jayne on a fantastic achievement in which she also celebrated running a new 5k pb. By looking around it appeared that everyone enjoyed the morning and Jayne really appreciated our members being present. It’s great to see our runners supporting one another at various milestones in their running journey, situations like this create positive memories as well as generating motivation.

Maybe we should consider naming a Parkrun and date each month where we can meet up!

And to note! I can confirm that there was cake consumed at the end!

Grasmere Sprint Duathlon hosted by Wild Deer Events

The runs are around trail paths surrounding the beautiful village of Grasmere and Rydal Water with the cycling on open roads around the area with the fells looking down over you.

Congratulations to Amy in making her duathlon debut, having only used cycling as cross training this was a great way to put those new skills to the test.

Leeds Abbey Dash 10k for Age UK

Thousands of runners attend this UKA accredited event every year creating an incredible race-day atmosphere. Dashing westbound on an out and back route starting from Leeds City Centre this course is for all abilities especially those seeking a pb. In this year’s event 27 runners ran under 30minutes which highlights that this race attracts fast runners from near and far.

117^th Lewis Liddle 33.33 and a new pb knocking 28s off his previous pb.

Liverpool Rock N Roll Marathon

I had a feeling David would run the last ever Rock N Roll marathon around Liverpool that takes you past Anfield, Goodison Park and through the parks of Stanley and Sefton. Such a good event and I’m sure it will missed.
