To all club members and coaches: When out training with fellow runners and training groups, a reminder for the need to be polite and courteous. Respect your fellow club member.
Remember your club’s website 🙂 Take the time to view the weekly update. Sometimes there will be information on it that may not necessarily be on any of the club’s Facebook pages. If in doubt, check both. Still not sure, then please just ask.
The 2020 Northern XC Champs are fairly local: being held at Bedale (around an hour from Newburn). Anyone interested in competing to get in touch with any of the Cub Captains for further info…..and as soon as you can please 🙂
2020 London Marathon Club Draw: We have 1 final place to offer up in the club ballot. The draw will take place in the hall prior to the session on Tuesday 10th December 2019. Anyone wishing to enter should email info@elswickharriers.org.uk before 4 pm on Tuesday 10th. The lucky winner must be able to provide evidence of their rejection from the original ballot. Good luck everyone.
The club is still coordinating **food bank and **clothing collections. This initiative closes on Saturday 14th December. Hand all items over to Simon Lynch or Michelle Coleman. Every little helps. Thank you.
** However: If you are coming down to the Boxing Day Parlaufs for a heaving festive Xmas Pud Burn – Off 🙂 Simon and Michelle would take any last food or clothing items.

Finally, on Saturday around 40 fine upstanding Elswick Athletes had a reet good knees up at the Club’s Xmas Do, at St. James’s Park.
Allegedly (m’lord) Simon Lynch has absolutely no recollection of the evening! 🙂 A glass of fizz on arrival, a 3 course meal and DJ music saw the evening go just grand….. all washed down with copious amounts of Harrogate spring water (erm…… not!). Thank you to Michelle Coleman for organising the event for us 🙂
