This annual set of races took place on a lovely cool sunny Autumn morning on the footpaths on the town moor so no mud for a change.
The junior races were first off followed by the seniors 10K which was preceded by 2 minutes silence in memory of armistice day.
Although Elswick juniors were not out in quantity they were certainly out in quality. With a 9.30 start the first races up were the under 11s results as follows
Under 11 boys 1K – 8th Harry Robson 4.02
Under 11 girls 1K – 5th Rosa Tadele 4.00 – 16th Lailah Motsi 4.37
Under 13 boys 3K – 2nd Nicholas Surtees – Brown 10.46 – 4th Dominic Kelso 11.02 – 12th Matthew Harrison 13.09. First Team prize.
Under 13 girls 3K – 6th Ayla Blight 11.46 – 8th Millie Robson 12.27 – 11th Zara Bungay 12.38 – 14th Cate Johnson 13.05 First team prize
Under 17 girls 5K – 2nd Erin Blight 19.38 – 6th Hannah Waterhouse 21.00 – 8th Sydney Bungay 21.50 – 10th Ciara Telford 28.51 . Second team.
Well done once again for the juniors flying the Elswick flag.
