Before we go into any details, can we acknowledge the months of time and effort by the Elswick organisation team to put these races on. We will not single anyone out but they know who they are.
After managing to return to our preferred venue it was certainly a Good Friday. With ideal conditions and sunshine,no mud for change( more about that later)
Although we report on the junior races, as there were no under 17 races it was great to see some juniors running in the senior relays.
We are sure this will be covered in the senior report.

Well done all the junior athletes who took part. Also the tremendous support around the course from fellow athletes, coaches, parents grandparents etc.
Weather permitting the next race is the rearranged cross country at Thornley Hall farm on the 13th April. If it goes ahead we are in fantastic positions in the NEHL. So we really need a good turnout to keep our positions.
After that you hang up your cross country spikes for this season.
We then move on to North East Youth Development League (NEYDL) track and field in both cases keep an eye on Junior Facebook where details will be posted.
