Report from Jan & ken: Now that we have put our wellies away and with summer on the horizon the first NEYDL was held at Whitley Bay. It was a lovely day with a breeze coming off the North Sea ideal for all the athletes.
We are in partnership with South Shields competing against Tynedale, Blyth/Alnwick, Wallsend/Gosforth and Jarrow/Phoenix Flyers. It was a tremendous turnout for the girls trying different events in track and field sadly none of our junior boys turned out.
The next meeting in this series is on Saturday 18th May at Monkton Stadium, Jarrow. Well done to Judith for all her hard work to make sure these events happen so please juniors support your club: it’s great fun and no pressure . Hopefully see as many junior runners at the next meeting at Jarrow. Provisional Results here > Results
