Four races to update you on this week.
Leeds Abbey Dash
Malcolm Liddle made his annual trip to Leeds for the Abbey Dash.
Badged as a quick 10km, which attracts runners from all over the country.
Malcolm ran a great race, running 55 minutes.
Hadrians Wall Half Marathon
Wild Deer organise this toughie with runners hugging sections of the famous Hadrians Wall.
A chilly morning greeted runners but that didn’t deter our runners, Paul Taylor ran well completing the course in 1.56. Richard Houghton was wearing two hats, making sure all runners got on their bus to get to the start then running the course once his work was complete. Rich competed the course in 2.13.
Langdale Horseshoe
This race is not for the faint hearted and one competitors need to prepare for.
Pete Dawson undeterred by the bad weather battled the elements completing the 12.5 mile course that consists of 4,600ft climb in 4.38.
Brilliant work Pete and one ticked off the bucket list.
Chicago Marathon
One of the marathon majors, Dave Jones, has those 6 stars in his sights.
His third marathon major, and his quickest of the lot. Dave ran a superb race, running 3.05 and well within the ‘good for age’ target.
