Gateshead Trail 10k

There were well over 1200 finishers for this race on Saturday 13th August including our 3 of our very own superb club mates.

  • Peter Jobson – 161st overall – 137th male – 4th VM60 – 48:08

That sub 1 hour time has eluded Sarah again – but she’ll get there very soon, I’m certain.

Good show guys!

Branches and Bays 10k

This was a small but very perfectly formed single entrant from an Elswick member on Sunday 14th August.

A trail run that starts in the village of Hawthorn, through the woodland of Hawthorn Dene, and along the coast south of Seaham and back.

  • Philip Oliver 249th overall – 135th Male – 42nd M40 – 1:31:24.26

A very pretty race.

Stamfordham 10k

Another tiny bit of perfection from Elswick on 10th August.

This time it was:

  • Jeffrey Emmerson – 81st overall – 50th male – 4th VM65 – 1:11:24

Keep up the good work Jeffrey.

Northern Athletics U17/U15/U13 Championships

14th August at Wavertree Sports Park in Liverpool.

Elliot Kelso put in a fantastic performance in the 1500 metres:

  • Elliot Kelso – 7th – 4:17.91

Elliot was the only entrant from Elswick and the north east. He’s building up great experience going further afield to expand his athletics horizons – well done Elliot.
