Taken from Wooler Running Club Website: The Chevy Chase Race is a 20-mile journey through some of the finest upland scenery in Northumberland giving runners the opportunity to channel their energies into a rewarding and demanding personal challenge.You will need to be fit and sure footed, determined, and prepared for all weathers. Your route will take you deep into the heart of the “land of the far horizon”; you will summit both Cheviot 2676 feet / 815m and Hedgehope 2348 feet / 714m.
Congratulations to all 4 participants who conquered this challenge during variable visibility throughout the event.

Here is an overview on the Elswick members that took part in a joint team with Blaydon Harriers that currently sit in 4th position from 8 teams with 14 league points and 937 match points.
Andrew Ball ran the 400m in a time of 61.5 finishing 7th in category A
Scott Brady ran in the 800m in a time of 2.247 finishing 7th in category A
Scott Brady ran in the 5000m in a time of 17.42 finishing 2nd in category B
Andrew Ball jumped 8.39m in the triple jump finishing 2nd in category B
