7th Birtley Junior Cross Country Relay Races

Sunday the 10 March 2024

Set in the grounds of Lord Lawson School Birtley 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️🌧️🌧️🌧️🌧️🌧️🌧️

How does the saying go “Rain rain go away come back another day” Well it doesn’t go away but it certainly comes back. For the Mums in attendance what a lovely way to celebrate Mother’s Day, we hope you got spoilt when you got home.

As the introduction suggests the rain was horrendous, although this course is undulating, there is not normally as much mud on show. As a result there were quite a few slips and falls, and a good few athletes returning to the finish line with missing footware. It says a lot for our juniors, supporters and coaches all supporting each other.

First race of the day was the under 11s . All races are boys and girls with separate results. Numbers in brackets denotes the position re fastest times lists.
