Weekly race round up – 17th March to 30th March

While many were nursing hangovers or taking a welcome Sunday off others were out doing half marathons, 3 different runners at 3 different races.

Liverpool Half Marathon

Dave Jones ran a superb race to run under 85 minutes for the first time.

He has continued his impressive form into the start of the year, his official time was 1.24.47 and secured him an impressive PB.

Sheffield Half Marathon

In Sheffield, Roland Brown was in action running an impressed 1.38. Not bad for a guy that was at the celebration night!

Carlisle Half Marathon

Luke Hilliard showed no ill effects of a late night and few celebratory drinks as picked up the Senior award on the Saturday evening then topped the podium of Carlisle Half the following day.

Luke ran an incredible time of 1.12 to win the race and pic up his second trophy in the space of a few hours!

British Duathlon Championships

We had 3 athletes travelling across the border to compete in the British Qualifier.

Andrew Bell finished 3rd in his age category and Adam a few places back in 9th. Rob Lambert was also in action despite the late night at the awards ceremony, Rob finished 19th in his category.

Coledale Horseshoe

Pete Dawson was back in the hills taking on the Coledale Horseshoe, a windy day would have made things tough and very cold on the tops.  

He ran well getting round the course in 1.56.

Northern 6 Stage Relays

Our ladies section were in action in Redcar at the Northern 6 Stage Relays.

With two athletes (Jude Nutt and Felicity Smith) running long legs (10km ish) and four (Imogen Bungay, Bella Russell, Justina Heslop and Sophie Pickett) running the short legs (5km).

The team ran brilliantly in blustery conditions to finish 10th place.
