Friday afternoon saw committee member Graham Bell deliver a card, gift and a big bouquet of flowers to Margaret Bolton, the wife of our late Club President Colin Bolton which gave a lovely opportunity for them to catch up and remind Margaret just how much we are all thinking of the family ahead of Colin being laid to rest next week.
Keeping his delivery boots firmly on, Graham also took flowers, a card and a gift to Joy, the wife of long serving member Jim Scott to show we are thinking of them all at this difficult time.
Graham’s other delivery this week was to Andy Middleton’s wife Lisa, who we were sorry to hear has been poorly recently. We treated her to cinema vouchers along with some flowers which will hopefully give them something lovely to do together as she recovers.
We try really hard at the club to keep a family spirit going, so these generous gestures are one of the ways we try and make sure that even if the whole family isn’t a member, we are still here to support and help where we can.
